big network prob
I have two computers and they are connected with a cross-over cable, each end to a NIC, my problem is how do I get them to share a printer and files?

I have tried setting up the home network wizard but it doesnt work. What am I doing wrong? The one pc runs on win Me and the other Win xp.

I would start at To share your printer and then follow the open menus on the left to find the instructions for file sharing.

Win ME could be the problem
I find XP handles network very well, its just plug and play.
Put ME/98 are hopeless... cant you upgrade that other computer to XP?
