Question - How do I configure my network?

Hi guys!
I want to setup a network in my home but I don't know how to configure the connection for the same.....
I am having 6PC's with me and a hub for connection.
Please tell me what else will require? and give the approx amount to establish the connection.
Explain in detail because I am "small fry" in networking
I need do it urgently so please reply as soon as possible!

please refer the book from tanunbum for N/w knowledge
& in this case
u might consider connecting them in P2P rather than client server model

Hello Harshads!

Here a link to a tutorial we found on the web. I'm afraid we've not put together a PC101 tutorial yet, but this one is pretty good!

As for cost, it varies a great deal! You could buy the bare minimum or buy the very best equipment which would cost a lot more! It all depends on what equipment you go with and the quality of that equipment.

All the device is ready i think. How about the network cable? Network Card for each PC?
If you have all of this equipment you will do networking by your self.
Need a a bit configuration at the PC only.
