Rep Power: 3 | How does the internet work on the PSP?
What network does it go through, and how much does it cost to connect/download etc? |

Rep Power: 6 | Sony uses what they call an "open ISP approach". What this means is that you can use the Sony PSP with almost any ISP. Sony does not have an ISP itself.
For connectivity, the PSP supports 802.11b Wi-Fi. You can also buy a Network Adaptor to connect to Ethernet or dialup networks. |

Rep Power: 3 | I don't know if the browser incorporates Flash or Java ... so you might not be able to play Runescape if that is what you're asking. |

Rep Power: 3 | Does the PSP have a full HTML reader? I know someone with a BlackBerry, and the Internet isn't as good as you think, its mostly text and can only go on certain sites. I guess its alright for just e-mail.

Rep Power: 3 | Anything with a full XHTML browser should be compatible with most websites - I'm not sure if the PSP is or not, though I think it would be safe to assume so.

Sounds good to me. |

With my PSP you have to set up network connections, but I could be wrong, I haven't tried it anywhere else but at my house.
However, I think you're able to connect to other PSPs without a connection, then again I could also be wrong, none of my friends own one. |

Rep Power: 3 | Yes you can connect other PSP's without a internet connection.
PSP has 2 modes, Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure.
Infrastructure is basically online and Ad-Hoc is basically wireless connection (like to play with friends on a 2 player game) |
