Rep Power: 3 | Internet speed... My Internet speed keeps getting slower, glitchy, stuffs up, doesn't show half the images on sites, takes an hour to load a movie made by flash.
Just wondering could this be caused by Internet histroy logs or something like that?
It seems every time I visit the 'net it just keeps getting slower.
If it is by this, how can I fix it or just how can I fix it if its not related to that? |

Rep Power: 3 | First things first - viruses, spyware and adware. These should be the 3 things you worry about first. Run programs such as Norton for viruses, and Ad-Aware for spyware & adware. If the problem persists, use Cleanup to clear out all the unnecessary files on your PC (such as temporary internet files, logs, cookies, etc). If that still doesn't work, then you may want to test the connection with another PC (if it's a DSL/cable connection) otherwise you can always resort to the good old format & reinstall

Rep Power: 3 | I scanned my PC and there was a bunch of trash.
All of it came from Download Accelerator Plus; I'm not going use it again EVER! |

Rep Power: 3 | Yeah don't try programs that sound too good to be true, they almost ALWAYS contain spyware or adware or other trojans. |

Rep Power: 3 | When I have that problem, I delete the history folder then clear all the cookies out. Next I do a virus scan on my HD and free up space on it. You can find those options in your Control Panel. |

Rep Power: 3 | Dang, its is a memory problem? My computer used to do the same things, as far as web pages not loading, and I just ran a quick disk cleaner and things were fine. |

Rep Power: 3 | Check how long you have chosen to keep history for (make it about a week), and how much space you have chosen to use for temp internet files.
Both of these things are found in the Browser options. |

Rep Power: 3 | Spyware Yeah, the first thing to do when your computer starts slowing is clean it out. You can do this manually or use a program called Windows Washer by Webroot. This pretty much does all of it in one click. It not only cleans, but you can add the bleach option so the files are not recoverable. It's a great program. |
