Learn NAT (Network Address Translation) and PAT (Port Address Translation)

CCNA TV – Scaling the Network with NAT and PAT

Agenda

Cisco’s CCNA Prep Center brings you a new subject in the CCNA TV Series. This new program will focus on NAT (Network Address Translation) and PAT (Port Address Translation) and is designed to provide information that will assist you in passing the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) exam. After the presentation, Cisco will be taking live calls from viewers — during a live Q&A session. Questions may also be submitted electronically.

Objectives
After viewing the show, you should be able to:

• Explain the difference between public and private IP addresses
• Summarize three problems with IP addressing that NAT and PAT solve
• Describe the basic functionality of NAT and NAT Overloading (PAT)
• Identify the differences between Static and Dynamic Translations
• Configure Static and Dynamic (NAT)
