Proxy Server

I want to share my internet with a friend who is connected in a LAN to my system and I later have found out that I need to install a Proxy Server on my machine.
Could someone recommend me some good (possibly free , or even a 30 day trial version would do, as i have to do this only for a week or so) PROXY SERVER software?
Or is there any way to share internet connection without any software, just using Windows?

I have no idea if Windows has any internal support to share internet, but you can use NetProxy. Go to the link

I have an all important question to ask, which is really important to me.

I have two machines at my place. Only one of them has a connection to the ISP and it is through the LAN Card(NIC). Since a week i have been on the Dial up to use internet on the other machine. This proxy server thread has made me think of any way to share internet between these two PCs through an extra card or any other port?

Thanks , the sooner I find some solution to this, the more I would be saving money !

You can do this with Internet Connection Sharing in Microsoft Windows.

For more information, read How to configure Internet Connection Sharing in Windows XP.

Since when is Microsoft providing online "video" based support?
Anyway thanks for the information. In my college , I have internet access to only a few systems, I think I can try it there.

I don't think Microsoft provides video based support.

Hell, I have a hard time trying to get them to return my emails, let alone get them on video.
