Microsoft Windows Remote Desktop uses the RDP protocol. RDP runs over TCP port 3389.

This RDP port is used for:
  • Remote Desktop
  • Remote Assistance
  • Terminal Server
  • Terminal Services

The Remote Desktop Web Connection uses the HTTP port, which is TCP port 80.
