What is this connection ?

A few mins ago , I made a "netstat" and got the following...

Code:
  TCP powershell:1089 by2msg2104807.phx.gbl:1863 ESTABLISHED
  TCP powershell:1103 65.54.239.214:http CLOSE_WAIT
  TCP powershell:1113 login.live.com:https FIN_WAIT_1
  TCP powershell:1130 67.131.237.24:http CLOSE_WAIT
  TCP powershell:1135 65.54.194.118:http CLOSE_WAIT
  TCP powershell:1136 213.199.159.88:http CLOSE_WAIT
  TCP powershell:1139 65.54.195.187:http CLOSE_WAIT
  TCP powershell:1144 216.250.59.145:http CLOSE_WAIT
  TCP powershell:1147 origin.by119w.bay119.mail.live.com:http ESTABLI
SHED
  TCP powershell:1148 a61-200-81-143.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com:htt
p CLOSE_WAIT
  TCP powershell:1151 66.203.123.28:http CLOSE_WAIT
look the entries .."akamaitechnologies.com" . I cant find where are they from. Even though I closed all internet activities, I can find still them.

Is it any sign that I have been compromised by any evil host [ zopmbie by any ddos botnet] ??

Nothing to worry about.

Akamai is a content distribution network. Companies, such as Apple, pay Akamai to host their content on the Akamai network. Akamai places content distribution servers in almost every major ISP on earth.

When you go to Apple.com, much of the content you see is actually delivered from an Akamai content server hosted by your ISP. This improves your Internet performance, because the content gets to you faster. This also saves your ISP money, because it saves them Internet bandwidth.

Check them out at http://www.akamai.com/

Thanx Will.

Frankly Speaking, I was pretty much worried. Since I have been start using Bear Share Pro [ though its pro , the paid version !] , I face some spyware/adware/malware problems.

I dont know whats the problem with p2ps. I cant find any p2p which is 0% liable for spreading of spywares/trojans..

Are you downloading executables, zip files, or exploitable document formats (.doc, .xls, etc...) via P2P?

It really is best to scan everything you download before you open it, and then scan your machine when you're done opening/executing/installing it.

P2P is a great way for people to spread malware, because there is no real accountability.

As far as P2P clients, eMule seems to be malware-free.
