Rep Power: 0  | wireless... in my own oppinion, wireless sucks, i have it on right now, and it always D/c's me, this is bad, and im not farr from my router, and its a blody good router, i think it may be this mettal lining in my roof, but im not sure any way, what u think?

Rep Power: 0  | I can't really see it being anything with metal lining in your roof considering the roof isn't between you are your router, unless of course you are currently sat on the roof, which I doubt. Anyway, what router are you using. I know 2 of my friends have wireless, one of them can't move a couple of meters from his router without being disconnected. My other mate can move anywhere in the house and the signal is as stroung as if he was sat on top of the router. It really all comes down to the router (which is just stating the obvious)

| yeh, well i sit on the roof lol, nah, i m not sure, but u can stand out fron of the house for 100 M and ul hve a connection, but u go in ONLY MY room, and u get a zilch, its like a 20 % connection, which is about to dissconnect at any moment... Quote:

Rep Power: 4  | options well you have a couple of options. you can buy some high gain antinas for about $60 and an antenna relocator kit for $20. you can buy a signal booster for about $80-100. or you can run a cable.
any who, it is not that wireless sucks, it more along the lines that wireless works better in some areas than others. i depends on if you are trying to get signal through the wall, floors, and anything else that might be between you and the source. |

Rep Power: 0  | I know where your coming from here, i find the same that it is rubbish and unrliable, my dad is getting me a lan cable to get from the router to my room, becuase most of the time i get no wireless signal, but i have a desktop computer in my room so i cant move a laptop to get signal. |
