XORP installation

Hi everybody!
I am trying to install xorp 1.1 on my pc...i have a Linux O.S with a debian distro on a 2.4.21.click kernel.
After i completed xorp installation sucessfully i tried to run the xorp bash(xorpsh),using the config.boot.sample file as my boot file but some errors occured.
I checked it out and i found that there were still some problems while xorpsh was trying to run xorp_rtrmgr application so i tried to exucute this last file but there were some problems again.
Here there are the error body texts:

[ 2005/09/28 14:57:32 ERROR xorp_fea:1663 FEA +93 ifconfig_set.cc push_config ] On dc0: interfacenot recognized

[ 2005/09/28 14:57:32 WARNING xorp_fea XrlFeaTarget ] Handling method for ifmgr/0.1/commit_transaction failed: XrlCmdError 102 Command failed On dc0: interface not recognized

[ 2005/09/28 14:57:32 ERROR xorp_rtrmgr:1662 RTRMGR +597 master_conf_tree.cc commit_pass2_done ] Commit failed: 102 Command failed On dc0: interface not recognized

[ 2005/09/28 14:57:32 ERROR xorp_rtrmgr:1662 RTRMGR +182 master_conf_tree.cc config_done ] Configuration failed: 102 Command failed On dc0: interface not recognized

Could anybody help me to solve this problem.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards

All of your problems seem related to your dc0 interface.

What is the output of `ifconfig -a` on your system?

-------------------------------------------------------------

For those not familiar with Xorp:

Xorp is the eXtensible Open Router Platform.

Xorp is a software-based routing daemon which supports BGP, RIP, PIM-SM, and IGMP/MLD.

-------------------------------------------------------------

andrea, have you considered trying Quagga, Zebra, or BIRD instead?
