Hello,

I ended up with ExoSIP from the list of open source SIP stack. I went through the API documentation and also tried to use them in my application, but I was able to use them. If any person have a sample code using the API of exoSIP, can you please send it to me? I will be happy to use it as a reference to develop my application.

Thanks in advance

with regards

The best reference source code for you to start with is josua (Jack's open sip User Agent).

Hello...

I'd like to work with MjSIP.
Can anyone help me how to start ?!
Something like a little tutorial fpr beginners.
MjSIP provides a MiniTutorial but I can't handle it.

I don't even know how to implement a simple connection...

What part of the MjSIP Mini Tutorial are you having trouble with?

How are your Java skills?

Are you having trouble more with the Java side or more with the networking protocol side?

i have basic skills in java and I understand how the networking protocol is built, but i think i need a step by step guide to have at least the beginning.
after that i am sure i can handle it on my own.

i'd really appreciate also more information about SIP and Video OverIP.

Thank you.

The trouble is that the MjSIP Mini Tutorial is the document that you are looking for. Well, sort of. It's not a very good document, but it is the best one that exists.

Instead, you might take an alternate path and learn by looking at one of the reference implementations -- MjServer or MjUA.

For SIP, read our FAQ What is SIP? and also Session Initiation Protocol at Wikipedia.

We don't have a Video Over IP page up yet and neither does Wikipedia. Video over IP is somewhat new, so your best best is spending some money on Video Over IP: A Practical Guide to Technology and Applications.

I have that on my bookshelf now, but there are quite a few books ahead of it on the priority list.
