How does one determine frequency of 2.4GHz cordless phone?

I believe the interference (sort of a spotty "picket fence"/motorboating effect) on a cordless phone in the house (Panasonic KX-TG2700 base + 2 remote phones) is due to frequency conflicts with the Netgear WGT624.v2 wifi router. I can change the frequency on the router - but how do I determine what the phone is set at to enusre that they are not stepping on each other's toes? (I am trying to exhume the manual and this particular model is not on the Panasonic website). Are all 2.4GHz cordless residential phones ALWAYS set at a factory preset of...? I would guess that one cannot change that frequency. Also - the phone base and the router are a good 6 to 7 feet apart but at the same level on the desk (if that makes any sense). Andy and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar Panasonic phone system here, although I am using a LinkSys WAP instead of a Netgear.

I do not have a problem with interference between the two, but I attribute that to luck more than anything else.

The Panasonic uses FHSS (Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum) to "hop" between all available channels. I do not believe that it is possible to limit the Panasonic to a smaller portion of the 2.4Ghz band.

The Operating Instructions: Model No. KX-TG2700S manual seems to support that theory.

You might call the tech support number for your phone and ask them to confirm or deny this. That number is (800)211-7262.

Alternatively, you might just move the WAP further away from the phones. My WAP is about 20' away from the nearest phone.

many thanks for the quick response. I have no doubt that separating the two likely culprits will help, but given the present configuation of the home office and available phone jacks, far easier said than done. I will nonethless try and find a way to increase the distance between them even more.
