Thumbs up Coolsat 5000 to see FTA

Hi, this would be helpful if anyone can give me a hunch.
I used Coolsat 5000 platinum for a month to watch FTA. Suddenly i am unable to get those channels. Being frustrated, i reinstalled the dish and software for the Coolsat. Yet i am not seeing any picture but the listing of channels appears on the menu. I want to know what is happening? Have FTA channels been encrypted or moved? Thanks

All of the channels have not suddenly been encrypted.

Is your receiver still under warranty?

The receiver is under warranty

Hello, Thanks for your reply. Yes, the receiver is still under warranty; i just purchased it two months ago. It is not just my receiver, my neighbor also has the same one and he is experiencing the exact same problem: unable to see the channels. We are wondering what can go wrong with the system. There must be something wrong.

What is your approximate latitude and longitude? Which channels suddenly disappeared? Can you still get any FTA channels?

Longitude and latitude

I have been using the Fortec Antena System, which is a white dish, a bit larger than dish network ones. I believe the longitude and latitude was aprroximately 94 degree, i have lost some chennels which were Arabic like Al iraqiya. The dish gave some 300 channels. What way to mend this problem. Do you have any suggestions for a system which i can switch to for FTA. Thanks

From where did you purchase your Coolsat 5000?

So you didn't lose all of your channels, you just lost some of your channels. Is that correct? Which channels did you lose, other than Al Iraqiya?

You shouldn't have to switch to another system. The Coolsat 5000 Platinum is a fine system. We just need to figure out what has gone wrong.

Coolsat from WEb

I brought the receiver from the web site, assumingly it was a new item. Return and refund policy doesn't exist so was written in the website. Undoubtedly the receiver is faulty but the question is should i purchase another receiver of the same brand or something else for FTA. Is anyone better than Coolsat 5000 platinum? Thanks

Since you bought your Coolsat 5000 Platinum directly from Coolsat, you can get support by calling (860)675-3026.

That is, you can get support by calling that number unless you have modded your box.

Coolsat's web site directs people to CoolsatRepair for system repairs. Unfortunately, CoolsatRepair is down!

That is, of course, a matter of taste. However, I would point you to the Dreambox .
