FTV free TV novice needs help

Hi, I'm new to this forum. Can some one steer me in the right direction for FreeTV information. What does it involve? Is it really free after the intial purchase of a system? What are the disadvantages ? What type of system would best fit my needs? I have a home in Rosarito Beach, Mexico and would consider this for that home. Im gun shy though.

There are no guarantees with FTA programming. FTA channels can be moved, encrypted, or turned off at any time.

In addition, there is no real tech support with FTA satellite.

Check Free TV from Mexico.

From Rosarito Beach, it seems to me that you should be able to receive satellite signals aimed for the United States.

Thanks for taking time to answer my questions. Would you agree that FTA is best suited for those that enjoy the challenge of the hunt to beat the system? You know is this something more for a hobbyist ?

Exactly. 100%.

Normal people get Dish Network or DirecTV.

But, being not-normal can be a lot of fun.
