Chipset Heatsink

I bought a Zalman heatsink a while ago to replace a fan on the chipset. It was okay but now I have to replace the mobo and it looks like the mounting holes around the chipset are larger and the Zalman keeps popping out. Is thermal adhesive the best way to make this thing stick?

Hey HackFan,

Have you tried using the mounting pins that came with the heatsink and/or the ones that were holding in the original fan? If neither of those work than thermal epoxy is the way to go. Be aware you won't be able to remove it once it's set.

Good luck!
