CPU Question

This doesn't happen all the time, but whenever I try to open a program using adobe 6.0 it will lock up. So when I hit end task my CPU is at 100%! I have to restart my pc and then it will work fine. Do you think I have conflicting software?

This doesn't sound like a CPU problem but rather one with your Adobe. I never had this trouble so I did a little hunting on the web and on Adobe's site. Here's what I foun...

Adobe Support Knowledgebase <- GOOD info direct from Adobe on what sounds to be your same problem.

Let me know if this works.

i have this problem some times, but with other programs. if you just let it run, it will eventually open the program up. what i think is happening, is your cpu is at 100% because it is using 100% of it to try and open (in your case adobie) the program. y this happens i dont know and how to fix it i dont know.

It may just be that your pc cooling isn't up to par, or maybe there's a little too much dust inside of your case. If your CPU goes up to 100% load while opening a program and then locks up, that would indicate something similar to that. When opening a program, your CPU load may go to 100%, that is normal, however if it stays at 100% load then then locks up, it's more than likely a cooling issue. Does it happen if you play a game for awhile, too?
