| It is kinda hard to explain this. An LCD monitor can have bad(dead) pixels in it. Some are hardly noticed but some are really annoying. Basically it is a black dot(the size of a pixel on your screen at all times. Dell's tend not to get this, cause over time a monitor does wear out. Dell's have a good rep on them and they make models for any economic situation. Best thing to do is to look up how to compare LCD monitors. But, as forementioned, stick with Dell if you can. I can't speak for any other company though, since I haven't used theres.
