Internet through your tv

I've heard that you can search the internet through your tv. I've never seen this, and I was wondering if you needed roadrunner (cable) in order to do that or if you could some how wire your DSL into your tv? If so, how do you do that?

Ya know, I've heard of this but I'm not familar with how it's done.

I've been looking for the reverse... I've been trying to figure out how to get TV on my computer! LOL

This way to surf the internet isn't so prevalent now as it used to be. I forget which company offered it, but it was called web-tv, which was basically a box that you can hook up to your television to, in effect, make your tv your monitor. Bundled with a wireless keyboard, you just plugged your telephone line into it and connected to the internet via that box, instead of using a standard computer. I'm almost positive it was MSN. You can get TV on your computer by using a VIVO enabled Nvidia card (video in/video out).
