Microsoft Outlook Express

Hi Will,
How was your thanksgiving?
Well I'm back for some more tech guru help.

Problem 1: my outlook express block sender doesn't seem to be working, as I have gone through the process about 30x's a day. And I am having to redo the same ones over and over. I am also not sure why I am getting so many 30+ spams a day. They are for money loans. I just keep blocking them, but to no avail.

Problem 2: I cannot get any clipart from microsoft to down load. I get this error everytime:

Can not open file C:document\owner\LOCAL~1\TEMPO~\content.IES\DNC8TG ST\clipar~1.CIL

What the heck does that mean? By the same token I can open and use any clipart from the file.

I sure hope that you can help me here. I run my business online and I cant work effectivley with all the spamming And becaause my business has to do with the graphics I can't make the flyers and things I need - yes every pop up blocker I have is on and every firewall is on. My security is set med-high.

I am stumped as to what to do. Whave a wonderful day and I look forward to hearing your advice, which has always been 100% on.

Sometimes the sender isn't the sender.

In SMTP, there are two from fields. One is meant to be machine readable and the other is meant to be human readable.

If your sender blocking isn't working, my guess is that the sender that Outlook Express is blocking isn't the real sender.

One way to tell is to examine the SMTP message header. In Outlook Express, you can do that by opening the message, clicking the <File> menu, and then clicking <Properties>.

Cut and paste a few of the SMTP headers into this thread and we'll see if we can help you to reduce your spam level.

How are you trying to download clip art from Microsoft?

You might try deleting that file. It's just a temporary file. (Make a backup copy first)

i'm facing the same problem as dking..in one day at least 9 emails promoting stock, penis enlargement and some rubbish keep coming to my inbox. Will anyone suggest me what should i do to block all this rubbish from filling my inbox?
