USB Hubs

I think I need a USB hub as I have so many USB devices but only 4 inbuilt ports on my motherboard/case.

I have seen some that are powered and some that arent.
Am I better off going with a powered one (more expensive), or a non-powered USB hub?

It depends on what the usb is going to be used for. Bus-powered hubs should not be placed on devices that already have their own power source, for example, on monitors. A user can plug a bus-powered USB device into a port on a bus-powered hub, but the device might not have enough power to function.

I use one sometimes. But it does come up with erros such as not enough power being applied. Somthing along those lines.

I do not use USB hubs mainly, that is because my computer already has plenty of USB ports. There are 2 on the front for easy access and 3 - 4 more on the back. I don't use too many devices though.

I do not have a use for USB hubs either, just have 2 USB devices here: a keyboard and a mouse.

I use about 3 USB devices total, so I would not need a hub.
