Viedo Card Problem--------HELP !!!!

Ok.....I have been haveing problems with my "display" on my monitor. I'm only have 16 colors with 98se, I had to do a "scanreg/ retore thing. I looking into my Control Panel----->display.......only showing 16 colors.......I can't even enlarge or decease my pixel size(640x480 now)......so I look at "system"----->divce manager, I notice there is a yellow (?) next to PCI Bus.....I click on it.....says "Device status: Windows could not load the drive for this device because the computer is repoting two(2) ACPI.SYS bus types (code2)

Contact your computer manufactor to get an update BIO for your computer.

Under "driver" (PCI bus properties) I have 2 drivers threre. (C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\PCI.VXD & C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\PCIMP.PCI)

I think that might have something to do with my colors. I use to have a wide range of colors to chose from, 256 on so on.

I get this repley from another forum :Sounds like the video driver is messed up. Reinstall it.

Ok........I went to the video card's web-site ( I have a video card is a" Matrox MGI G4+
M4A32DG"). I have been all over my device manager..no yellow next to anything except "PCI bus...there 2 of them listed...I just deleted 1.

Now in the "CONTROL" panel----->"DISPLAY" panel------>"Settings"----->it says I have 256 colors...so I do that...640X480 pixels ( before I couldn't move that) ! I press "OK". It say I have to restart my comp. I've dont this 6 times.....posted in 4 forums.......I really need some advice.....HELP !!! i need some COLOR. I'm thinking of just "RE-INTSTALL the whole OS !!!!

Did you make any changes recently to your BIOS or video drivers?? Or recently loaded anything that would change these areas?? This is a new one on me!

This might seem obvious but is the card seated properly in it's slot? Sometimes (not often) they work their way up out of the slot slightly and cause problems.

Got this fu*ken problem solved !! I've spent 10 hrs on this problem. If you want more info,,,,,,,PM........me ? I too tired to type......LOL !!!
