Rep Power: 0 | Webcams I want to buy a cheap webcam, mainly so I can take pictures of stuff and put it on eBay, but it's hard to find a cheap webcam that takes high quality photos. I recently bought a $20 one, and it doesn't even take pictures or record video right. I used to have a great one, recorded and took pictures perfectly, but I was living with this crazy room mate, and he thought I was spying on him, so he smashed my webcam. That was the kind of thing that ended the deal... but enough about that. The Labtec Webcam Plus is $24.94, but the resolution isn't so great. There is a webcam called "Creative Webcam Live" that is $49.99 and takes good pictures... and it also has a $20 mail in rebate. Didn't see that! Does anybody have any suggestions? |

Rep Power: 0 | If you only are going to use it to take pictures of stuff to post on ebay and not use it for live interaction, I would just a digital camera and load the pics.

Rep Power: 6 | Ebay's the way to go for a LOT of stuff! I think I'm going to get my video card from there... just having decided on which one. Buyer Beware though... be sure to buy from someone with a lot of trades and a high percentage approval rating!

Rep Power: 3 | I rarely buy direct from the store if I can find the same on eBay.. but don't forget there are other online auctions as well (Yahoo, ePier, Stormpay, etc.)

Rep Power: 6 | I've never heard of ePier or Stormpay. How do they compare to EBay??
Thanks!

Rep Power: 0 | sounds like a good place to open a "alternative to ebay" section. And a Power Seller may just be reselling someone else' equipment and take the .01% hot against the 99% good ratings. but that said, i am going shopping for a digital vid cam myself... |

Rep Power: 3 | Well, nothing "compares" to eBay but they are alternative sources at least..
I had a problem being doubled charged ($97) thru Stormpay.. luckily I'd used my Paypal card and they got the money back as it seemed Stormpay was giving me the run around.
I paid for the item thru my Stormpay account and then two weeks later they charged me again. I immediately contacted them, they blamed their bank, but I never got anywhere with them.. had to dispute it thru PayPal.
I've sold a few things on ePier, nothing major tho. Quote: |

Rep Power: 0 | eBay is a risky place to buy like mentioned earlier, becarful. About the webcam either get a fiml camera or a digital camera , you will get way more benefits from them. |

Rep Power: 0 | For the most part ebay is good to buy from. I bought 4 mini keychain size digital cameras right before Christmas. Its a camera, video camera and web cam. With shipping the price came out to about $20. That is the price my dad payed for 1 at the store(he thought it was cool and got it for Christmas only to find I thought the same thing). Thats just an example how ebay and store buying prices differ. |
