Rep Power: 5 | I am happy with the Logitech wireless keyboard on my desktop PC.
It's the wireless mouse that I am unhappy with. The rechargable batteries died and the alkaline cells I replaced them with die constantly. |

Rep Power: 3 | I find the wireless mouse to be VERY heavy compared to a normal mouse, so I didn't end up using mine for long.
I agree though that wireless keyboards work wonders, I also have a Logitech one |

Rep Power: 3 | I have a Labtec wireless keyboard and a mouse from the same make.
They eat up a lot of batteries but work really great.
I have a recharger so I do find it very lovely. |

Rep Power: 0 | I was just contemplating the purchase of a wireless keyboard myself. I get so tired of the cords going from this to that and that to this.
Since I'm way behind times and still using everything with wires, could someone maybe give me an idea as to the best type of wireless keyboard to purchase?
Thanks,
Suzeygal |

Rep Power: 3 | Wireless keyboards are awesome!! My last one broke and I haven't replaced it yet, though. I'd love some suggestions on good ones to look into. |

Rep Power: 5 | I am not aware of a company that competes strongly against Logitech in this space. |

Rep Power: 3 | They do sound awesome, but I could never use them. I would probably never leave my bed Hey, at least I know my limits. |

Rep Power: 5 | I would love that, but... unfortunately:
1. The range of the wireless keyboards are not that long.
2. The range of my eyesight is much shorter. |

Rep Power: 3 | I need a wireless mouse and keyboard to spoil myself. It's not a necessity, but it's great for comfort as it seems like by your reaction. Everything will be wireless soon, monitors, speakers, everything. That will be great when that happens. You might even be able to control your neighbor's cursor with your wireless mouse. I think Logitech has a bundle called the LX700 which can be bought for $20 after rebates and coupons at Office Depot sometimes. |

Rep Power: 3 | Well wireless keyboard batteries don't waste quickly. I've had the same battery in mine for going on 3 years now; they are just standard alkaline!
I can't talk for a wireless mouse though as I don't own one. |

Plus the added bonus of the mouse having its own recharger built into the receiver is awesome

Rep Power: 3 | I really want to get one of the Logitech rechargable mice, but they are not free, and I always have something more important to spend money on.
As much as I use computers I have never had a wireless mouse or keyboard. Yet my father, who uses them much less has had like 5 or 6 wireless mice. |

Rep Power: 3 | How does the rechargable mouse work?
It charges the batteries itself, or there are no batteries at all?
I could never see why wireless mice could not use the power from the computer to recharge itself. |

Rep Power: 5 | My most recent Logitech wireless mouse came with two rechargable AA batteries.
When the mouse is placed in it's cradle, the batteries are recharged.
Unfortunately, those AA's stopped holding a charge after a few months. Now I just put alkaline batteries into the mouse once every few weeks.
I have been meaning to pick up some new rechargable batteries for the mouse for almost a year now. ops: |

Rep Power: 3 | Why would the rechargables stop working though?
Could you take it back under warranty?

Rep Power: 3 | I've got a MX700 Duo keyboard & mouse on another PC at home, and it's now about 2 years old, and it still has the original rechargable batteries in it... still works great

I could never see why wireless mice could not use the power from the computer to recharge itself. | How could it do that? It wouldn't be a direct source of power. I know that mice don't need too much power, but this does not seem logical. |

Rep Power: 3 | It could get power from the PC power supply.. ?
I know when I plug my mobile phone into my USB port via cable it charges the phone - could this type of thing not work with a mouse?

Rep Power: 3 | Wireless Unfortunately, I have tried two different brands of wireless keyboard and mouse, and I had a problem with interference from the CB radios going by, as we live on a main highway. The reception was totally infered by this, so I went back to wired.
Someday, when I move, I'm going to go back to wireless. |
