Wireless or Wired?

Anyone have a preference of wired or wireless when it comes to keyboard and mouse?

I tried the wireless before on two different occasions with two completely different units, and it didn't work for me. I live on a main highway, so when the truckers go by with their CB radios, it interferes with my wireless.

Any suggestions?

I've gone wireless and I will most likely never go back, even if I do have to replace the batteries every few weeks.

Every few weeks?
Hmm what type of batteries are you using there Will?

Im a mixture - wireless keyboard and wired mouse.
Im happy with both. I dont really feel the need for a wireless mouse as I wont be using it away from the computer anyway.

I've never done a wireless mouse and I only used a wireless keyboard for a short time. I liked it, but I think primarily I would stay wired. This is all moot once I get my laptop in Feb, though!

Not necessarily

You might want to get a laptop mouse - often you will get annoyed with the touchpad/whatever device they have on the laptop.
I have a USB mouse plugged in - would love a wireless laptop mouse though!

Right now, I'm using a generic Dell keyboard and a Logitech mouse(a nice gaming mouse, too), the setup all costs about $10, and I've had it for a couple of years. I probably won't switch until they break or something since I'm very cheap. But, I'd probably prefer wireless over wired anyday. Logitech is the brand to get, though. I might get those new fangled laser mouses, actually, from Logitech if I had a choice.

Nice budget setup!
Really its all you need though, there is little need to go spending $100+ on a keyboard and mouse.. I know some people just love to have the newest gadgets though :P

Nope, I am all wired here, I really do not care for wireless too much.

I have all wired atm, I am a gamer and wired is usually better for gaming.

However the G7 Wirless Mouse is basically the same as G5 without a weight expansion and it's wireless.

However the batteries run out like every other day but they come with 2 recharagble batteries.

My first "non ball" mouse was wireless and I loved it until I got my first gaming mouse the MX518 (which was quite recently)

I don't like wireless mice that much due to the batteries running out like you said. I'm mainly wired here

If you have this kind of problem, you should use wire mouse instead of wireless of course
No batteries, no cursor jumping - sounds fine to me.
Otherwise screening of apartment should help…
