X850XT or 7800GT Video Card for new comp?

I am building a new computer and I was wondering, should I go with the Radeon X850XT or a 7800GT? Both are PCI-e and are pretty similar in price. I've seen some benchmarks and they have been close, with the 7800 having a slight edge, I was just wondering what everyone else thinks.

Depends what your budget is.

I'm not too familiar with current video card specs, but I hear the 7800GT is better.

Again, it depends how much you want to spend....

Nvidia's newer line of graphics cards are better, so I'd go with the 7800GT.

I think I'm going to go with nVidia. My friend got two in SLI mode and he loves them. Also, I've found more benchmarks that are in favor of the nVidia. Thanks for suggestions.

nVidia also make more reliable drivers.
ATI was (dont know if they still are) plagued with driver issues which never allowed the cards to run to their full potential.

I think ATI have cleaned up their Drivers act.
There are also some other drivers you can use called Omega drivers, alot of people use them instead of the ATI official drivers.

Send a message via ICQ to StudeNT1k
I recommend you to buy a 7800GT because it supports a pixel shaders v.3.0 and faster in most 3d applications.
