default routing

hai...... actually there is a command "IP DEFAULT-NETWORK <network number>" in the router to mention the default route via it's routing protocol.....the problem is that in some websites they have told that it should be configured in "GLOBAL CONFIGURATION MODE " of the router.... but in some other sites they have told that it should be configured in "INTERFACE CONFIGURATION MODE"......so i need a help from u. which is the correct one.......thanks in advanz.......

You need a Cisco router or a Cisco router simulator to play with.

`ip default-network` can be issued in global configuration mode.

cisco#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.
cisco(config)#ip default-network 192.168.1.0
cisco(config)#^Z
