Picture in BIOS
Dear All,

Someone has put a Picture in to the BIOS of my PC. The PC is a Compaq HP 7100. We can't seem to get rid of it even after doing a BIOS and FLASH upgrade. Any suggestions ? I think they used some utility (free software) and did this and can't remember how to get rid of it.

Hmm, I am not sure how that even happened... how is it possible to change the picture in the BIOS?

How do you know the picture is in the BIOS?

When does the picture appear?

What is the picture of?

Please don't tell me that the picture says "Energy Star". :P

Is it in the BIOS, or is it just a "startup" screen, I think you can change the startup screen relatively easy.

I think it is just the startup screen, which you can change pretty easy i think.

I had heard that some utilities could replace bios pictures with flashing in DOS mode. But most of them programmed by hackers for own use and it would be difficult to download the same software from the web.

Hi to everybody!
I'm a "fresher" here.
I'd like to have an avatar, (like other "forumers"). But I don't know how to do this. ;-(
Could you, please help me. Does anybody know where to download it?
Or if I have a large picture, is it possible to make it smaller, and suitable for the forum?
By the way, what it the limit size, in pixels and kb?
