bios flashing problem

my laptop was 1.73ghz pentium m with fsb 533mhz.
phoenix bios 3A22.

i flash it using winplash to new bios 3A45, but my bus speed drop to 133mhz.
why ? i cant tweak the speed from the bios. what should i do ?

You will be able to change it in the BIOS. Almost all newer (certainly from 2000 onwards) CMOS BIOS Utilities will be able to change the FSB speed. Either that or it will have an auto throttler enabled (probably a factory default, if it is enabled).

If not, the manufacturer of the laptop or motherboard should be able to help you.

in cmos bios i cant change anything relate to speed or mhz....
the problem is my bios utilities doesn't have this function for me.
it was not same as my old pc with amibios.
but anyway, thanks. i will try to google it again and again.

Look for power saving functions that are switched on. Newer laptops ussually have speed throttles for power saving.

my laptop don have this function....
wonder whats going wrong...
no idea to tweak my fsb speed back to 533mhz....
