Common IT Help Desk Calls

The most frequent calls to IT help desks are "I forgot my password."

What do you think are other very common calls which IT help desks receive?

One of the most common calls I would get is customers calling the technical support line stating their PC or device doesnt switch on. After a year of getting these calls I learned to make the first question - is it plugged into the wall socket? 90% of those calls was due to the power lead not being connected

That is too funny. Those calls should be recorded.

Here are a few more that I recieved more than once.

Customer cannot photo copy an A4 page or fax it and after an hour of asking questions it ends up they are hold the A4 page up to their screen....thats just plain crazy!!

Cup holder on the PC is broken Hmmm they have been using the CD-ROM as a cup holder.

Another customer who I got to know on a personally level couldnt send emails and what was he trying to send? The C: Drive.

I did time on an MSN help desk and every 3rd or 4th person wanted to speak with Bill Gates and they really believed he was our floor manager....no clue about outsourcing, lol.

Getting irate callers is funny because when they totally loose the plot they say crazy things and one of the most common would be "why not get back to your own country" and where was I sitting? Yes Ireland, technology is brilliant isnt it?

I need to think of more and come back to this...
