Laser printer versus others

Do you think buying a laser printer is good for house usuage where it is not used much often? I have had problems with my old printer and i was weighing my optikns so i deceided to give a thought to laser printers. What do you think can justify the cost of a colored laser printer?

i would say it's completely up to you. If you use your printer to print directions off of mapquest 4 times a year then its probably a waste of money. But if you use it to print high quality pictures or print off lots of documents then i guess it could be useful.

It's all up to you in what you are using it for and how much you are willing to spend for a printer.

One thing to consider is the cost of ink when you make your purchase! I made the mistake of getting a Lexmark without knowing how expensive their ink was. Apparently higher than the average!

the lexmark we had sucked! , it was slow printing and the drivers never worked seemed like. You would have to restart the comp then print...don't ask why.
Go with Epson, I really like the one we have and my sisters in college had the ink regulator go bad in hers so they are sending a new one(upgraded) for free in one week. Can't go wrong with that.

Agreed! I had an Epson before and never had any problems with it. The ink is pricey BUT the quality of the prints was superior.
