Rep Power: 4 | I have a Microsoft optical mouse. It was said that its designed for games exclusively. It has 8 buttons in all and it is an age old mouse. I'm planning to buy a new one, but Microsoft mice are expensive. I'm looking for a cheaper one. |

Rep Power: 6 | I usually stick with Logitech.
You pay more, but the quality is good. |

Rep Power: 3 | Logitech and Microsoft are the premiere brands for mice and other peripherals, but I prefer Logitech better. They have way better gaming mice. I had an old Microsoft optical mouse, and if you moved the mouse too fast, the cursor would go to the very top of the screen. I have a Logitech MX300 optical mouse right now for gaming, and it's fine. But, if you're a gamer, you might be anal about negative acceleration and such, but for the casual gamer, any Logitech mouse is fine. The MX510 is a great optical mouse, though, probably the best since there is new laser technology. |

Rep Power: 3 | Mouses are pretty similar the only differences are if it is wireless and if it is optical.
I suggest getting a wired optical mouse. They are really cheap nowdays, just get a $15 range one.

Rep Power: 3 | I am a gamer, and my first gaming mouse was the MX518, you can probably now get it for $40 and it is by logitech.
It is a quality mouse, and it is a GAMING mouse, which is why I use to love it.
check www.amazon.com or www.newegg.com your guranteed to get it cheaper there then from the manufactuer's website or a store.
I use a Laser mouse now though. |

I've tried quite a few even the MX 1000 (waste of money, glitchy as hell)
But the MX 518 was by far the best. LoVe It!! |

Rep Power: 0 | I'd recommend Logitech MX300. It costs near $35 and it's an optimal choice for all tasks. Lot's of gamers use this nice device in all world . |

Rep Power: 3 | Microsoft actually make good mice, never had problems with them in Linux either. I got a Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard set, only problem I have with it is the shortcut buttons on the keyboard, they're assignable but the media playing buttons, play, stop, skip etc are windows media player specific, also I can't assign those buttons in Linux, although I've heard there are tools to do it, just haven't got round to looking. |
