SMART status reset

Hi! I have a problem with my old Samsung SVH 2001. It's ok. It hasn't bad sectors or any other problems, but I had problems with my PSU before and some times my HDD was power off during work, and now SMART status is BAD. I wanna reset SMART, how it could be possible? Many thanks

I may not be reading you correctly, but if I am then my first thought is that you just need to edit the SMART settings in your system BIOS.

ASUS uses Award BIOS, so you can enter your BIOS setup menus by pressing the <DELETE> key during system POST (Power On Self Test).

Visit ASUS Support to get full instructions on using your BIOS.

No, sorry.. this isn't motherboard problem. Only hdd. I wanna sell it, and I want to clear hdd smart memory, because I don't want that someone would see this error message.

I am not aware of a utility to erase SMART (Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology) data from a hard disk drive.

One of these SMART Tools might do the trick for you, but I am on the road this week and can't check any of them.
