I am loosing my mind over this
The other day, the PSU burnt, shut down pc, smoke, nice burning plastic smell from PSU. So, bought a new one, just got it today, poped it in, bam, no video, no on board video from MOBO, no video from PCI-E card.
I am thinking the MOBO somehow got damaged on the burn out, but not sure how a surge would have been sent if it burned up. I have to do more testing in the AM, its too late now, I am too angry, and at this point the best thing to do is walk away and try again later.
oh, also cleared CMOS, no go....
also, the video card was no in the pc when the old PSU burnt, as it was not powerful enough, and it didn't have a 6-pin pci-e plug, this was a temp for my 600W that blew up two weeks ago
any ideas, thoughts, hate mail, cookies, canned yams, would be much a-okay.
the funny thing is, the HDD's and CD-ROM/DVD-ROM all appear to be working, but as for the HDD's, they just appear, there is no way to tell right now, until I put them in my office pc tomorrow.....
