Problem - Sound card problem!

hi everyone,

i have some problem on my computer because i lost my sound card installer, are we able to download it on the net? or we need to buy another new one ? what will i do in order to recover those problem ??? is there any software that will detect your sound card and then install it ? hope you can help me guys. im planning to buy a new one since i need sound card software now but i ask you this question since a lot of people can clear out my mind.

Do you mean you lost the driver for it? If so, you should be able to download it from the manufacturer.

First, what OS are you using. I know Vista & XP all have "generic" drivers on the disk. Also, what make & model # is your PC ? Is the sound card on-board (hooked to the mother-board). Or did you istall it your self ? All this info would be helpful.
