Split / Ergonomic Keyboards

Who here uses a split or ergonomic keyboard? Do you find it benefits your typing? Are they easier to use or more difficult?

I have had one for a while now and I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular square keyboard. It took a little bit to get use to the split style but now it seems to fit really well and my typing speed has increased. Anyone else had a similar experience?

Hey Nitro,

Welcome!

I've seen those several times and wondered about how comfy they would be! Hmm! But, they say they are ergonomic so... maybe I should give them a try. They're just so funky looking! LOL Very unfamilar!

Hi Lyte,

Thanks for the welcome.

Yes, these keyboards are very funky looking indeed but they sure get the job done. It took me a couple weeks to get use to it but I haven't looked back since.

I think the biggest advantage is the keyboard angles your elbows out to your side, as opposed to bringing your elbows close together with a regular keyboard. So extended use is a lot less of a problem.
