TV computers

I think that there is such things as TV computers or something like that were you can view websites, and do all teh things a computer can on a tv. Is this true or was I mixed up. And if true who actually owns these stuff.

I see those units at hotels, where you can browse the web from the TV set.

TV screen resolutions are just so low that I can't imagine the experience to be a pleasant one.

I remember 40 column screens.

I think you mean something like WebTV. I would not recommend it, as just buying a computer and internet access is usually more convenient.

Ehh, I wouldn't recommend stuff like Web TV, I'd just buy a regular computer and browse the net.

Perhaps you should consider a media center pc.

well you can just buy a tuner card ...it wont cost much and you can see TV at your PC ( you will also need a software for that )

Cheers

Tuner cards are awesome, except that I never seem to have enough screen real-estate as it is.

I'd have to buy another monitor to display the output of the tuner card.

Go for the monitor which has tuner card preinstalled .... becoz it will have a remote and sensor along with it..!

Else you will have to use keyboard for changing channels ( or use infrared ).
