Cool Windows XP - What RAM do I have ? And is it ok with AMD Athlon mother board??

I have a question about RAM & and if this RAM I have is compatible with this AMD Athlon Mother board. But the first problem is I don't know what kind of RAM this is cause it has a Thermaltake Metal Performance cover shield type thing that won't come off and all I can see is a couple of numbers which are as follows On the bottom left side there's 1 and the other end has 92 and there's a (HJ) with a circle around them and then a M1. Then I turn it over and the bottom left side has a 184 and the other end has a 93. Can anyone tell me what this is and if it's ok to put in the above named motherboard ? It would be much appreciated

Hey sddrummer,

Dang... I use to have this hardware wizard on my computer that would tell me everything on my computer and how it was running. I can't find it now. I'm going to keep looking!

To see if your memory or any memory is compatible, I like the site 4AllMemory.

Lyte

EDIT: Hey, I found this page which may be of some help! Hopefully!

EDIT EDIT: Peep this freeware, CPU-Z, which says it will tell you your memory's "size, type, timings, specifications."

Morning sddrummer,

No, I'm afraid just by those few numbers/letters I couldn't tell you. Why not send an email to All4Memory.com or any of the other memory selling sites with your description. That's what they deal with everyday so those numbers may sound familar to someone there.

If possible, I'd just taking a picture of whatever you can on of the memory piece and show that to them as well. You can post it here in the gallery if you need to and then just give them the picture link to look at it.

Good luck!

Lyte

if it's old SD Ram it will have two notches and won't fit in a new MB, if it's DDR1 or 2 it will have one notch, slightly off center. If you put DDR2 on a board that does not support it, it simply won't work or vice versa.

For me you can use and have 512 of RAM. Its more better if your hardisk small and you not interested to play high speed games. For me, its enough. But if you gamerz, i believe you need to add with graphic card and 1 gigabyte of RAM.
