But today i ve encountered worst , now my own site is not loading ! in both IE and firefox . both give 404 page telling unable to load the site. i can open other sites also only this happens with the first web site i had mentioned and one of my own sites.

Are the sites you are trying to visit secure sites? Do they start with https:// instead of http:// ? The only thing i could think of would maybe be lowering your security and privacy settings. In IE, go to tools>Internet options. Click on the security tab and move the slider down to a lower setting. If it is already set to custom, then click on custom level at the bottom, and then at the bottom of the screen that it pops up you should be able to medium, medium-low, etc. Try medium first and then medium-low, each time seeing if it fixes the problem.

If that doesnt work you might also try going to the privacy tab. Move the slider down, or if it is custom, click on sites, type in the site you are trying to visit, and click Allow. But the privacy tab is mainly for cookie handling. So i dont know if that would help you or not.

The downside to resetting or lowering these options is that it might allow something you were trying to block before. But you can always make changed your advanced settings and allow or disallow specific things.

When you go through a proxy, you are kinda viewing the site from someone elses computer and IP. So... it might be something with your firewall?

Hey dude_xyx,

Did the admin of the site you're trying to get to check and see if any IPs were banned?

Did you check with your own ISP? I wonder if they are banning them from coming to you. Kind of a like a company might prevent workers from visiting certain sites. You're not banned at the source but by an inbound filter of some kind.

With a dynamic IP don't the first 2 sets of numbers remain the same?

Lyte

Hey Dude,

Sorry your ISP banned the site but I'm glad you got it figured out. It can be frustrating not knowing what's going on! I had a similar problem trying to get to a NamePros site from work. My company wasn't banning the site but for some dang reason Comcast was. Weird!
