Creating a Shutdown/Reboot icon
I heard there's a way to create one, but the process is so long and complicated. I'm curious, is there an easier way to do it?

Just follow the instructions in How to create a Shortcut on the Desktop and create a shortcut for this command:

c:\windows\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 00

I think that pressing the Windows key and then U twice will shut down your computer, I use that shortcut a lot.
