I'm posting this for iss2006

"I need help when I boot up my computer the desk top appears fine but I also get the c:\windows\systems 32 file on the desk top what happened I can close it but it just not something I want to have to close everytime I turn my machine on. "
My first thought was... Have you tried going... My computer - Control Panel - Display Properties - DeskTop - Customize Desktop - Clean DeskTop Now
HOWEVER, I'm little concerned though you don't actually delete your
systems 32 files!
When you click.... My Computer - WINDOWS - System 32 .... do you get a big blue page that says
"These files are hidden. This folder contains files that keep your system working properly. You should not modify its contents. Show the contents of this folder." ??
NOTE: If you just right click on your desktop and hit delete, that only deletes the short cut to that process or file. It doesn't delete the process or file itself. I just want to be sure you don't end up deleting something important!
