There are import and export features built into OE that are quite simple to use.

What I do though is go directly the folder where my .dbx/.wab files are stored and copy them to a CD or USB stick. That is the best way I have found. However, multiple profiles can be confusing. If you don't know where to find these files just do a search for "all files and folders" for them. Be sure to check "hidden files and folders". Simply paste them back into the appropriate place after re-installing windows.

.dbx files are the emails and folders and .wab is your address book.

Thumbs up

Thank you for your suggestions. I also found Outlook Express Backup Genie http://www.amicutilities.com/outlook-express-backup which does the job right and fast. I will try them out more and then buy one!

I can't see spending money, but if it's easier for you

The above method does work very well and it's free. It's what I use and have been using for years. It is not as hard as it may sound. I just can't see spending 29.95 euros

29.95 Euros = 42.7202598 dollars ~YIKES~

I used canadian funds, but still, OE can be backed up free very easily. That was my point; NOT the current value of the euro.
