File Descriptions vanished!!! Wha?

Check this... In My Documents, Thumbnail view, all the test descritptions on the bottom of each of the files are GONE. They have vanished. Yet, when I click into any one of the folders, the descriptions on the sub directoried or files ARE there.

What gives?

Is there a way to turn the descritptions of the files on and off?

I'm REALLY confused on this one.

Hey GoPC,

What are "test descritptions." Test??

When you open up the file folder from My Computer, go to View, select Choose Details and make sure Name is selected. Hope that works.

Did what you suggested and found that it was already done. Still no descriptions under the thumbnails. When I switch to any other view, they are there and when I go into a sub directory, they are there... just NOT in the main "My Documents" Directory.

In fact, I tried unchecking and rechecking different features under that option and nothing.

Very strange issue, yeah?

Hmmmm.....

As Lyte said, open the Folder > Options and the select View
on this screen, click reset default, and it should show them again.

You can also check to see what is exactly changed by comparing the options seleceted on that one to another folder, as you can change the settings per folder.

Also, if you did not change this yourself, scan your machine right away, or if you installed something close to the time it started check that program, could be a minor security issue, but more than likely just a hickup on your system.
