Free Dial-Up Telephone Notification Software

Hey All,

My father has finally gone "High Tech" !! I got him a computer a few months ago running XP-Home SP3. Now, he lives out in the "boon-docks". The only internet service he can get is "Dial-up". He has 1 phone line. He or my other family is on it a lot.

Is the any 'free" software the when I call or other people call him, a "notification" would come up on his monitor notifying him or any one else that there is a call coming in ??

Hmm... that's an interesting question!! I've not heard of any such software but with so many people still using dial up it would be a very valuable bit of ware!!

Yea....Lyte I know... I belong to quite a few "tech" forums.....nobody seems to have any ideals. I'll just keep looking

I think what you need is a dial up modem that has call waiting.
