Rep Power: 3 | Help me in uninstalling Windows components I know there is a program that can delete or uninstall microsoft components such as windows messenger, outlook, media plater, etc, I just forgot the name that's why I found it hard to search.
If anybody remembers the name of the program please tell me, or it is much appreciated if you can give me the link... |

Rep Power: 3 | Click on your start menu and choose "Control Panel" this will lead you to an "add/remove programs" option. click it and then in the left hand column list there is "Add/remove Windows components" click it (there may be a screen that comes up saying "please wait..."), from there choose the programs you'd like to remove and follow the instructions |

Rep Power: 3 | Yes, the Add/Remove Windows components will get rid of these.
Keep in mind though that this wont work for removing that annoying windows messenger, there are registry tweaks you need to make to remove that silly program. |

Rep Power: 3 | Getting rid of Windows Components Yes, this will work in getting rid of Windows components, except for that pesky Messenger.
I have started a new thread called "Getting Rid of Windows Messenger." Please visit my thread and receive instructions on getting rid of Messenger once and for all, as it simply cannot be done by merely removing it from add/remove in control panel. Good luck! |

Rep Power: 3 | There is a very easy fix for this -
click Start, Run and enter the following command:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
Happy removing |
