How to remove preinstalled os?

once i had installed winxp
later i wanted to replace that with longhorn.
i was doing that but accidently the xp remain like earlier and longhorn set up in new drive.
i tried to format Xps drive but cant?
how to remove xp now?

second hard drive

i have mutiple hard drives and just back everything up to them that i want to keep.

Sounds like you installed Longhorn to a drive other than your primary drive...

Seeing as Longhorn hasn't even officially been released yet, I'd wait until you have a CD and docs to work with, but that's just me.

How do you get a copy of it now anyways? Does it still cost to download the iso's?

Im not sure if it costs to download the .iso's. for the person with the problem i would probably reformat your harddrive by booting to the windows cd, what i used to have to do to boot form a cd was to unplug the herd drive until windows setup started then plug it in so the setup would detect it!
