Thumbs up How To Train the Speech Recognition in Windows XP

The speech recognizer uses the voice training wizard to adjust to the sound of your voice, accent, and manners of speaking etc. when the speech recognition engine in Microsoft Windows XP is trained accordingly. Gradually, the system adapts to your speech in a very efficient way.

Train your Speech Recognition Engine

You need to go through the following steps in order to train the speech recognition engine the way you speak -
  • Click Start, then click Control Panel and finally, double-click Speech
  • Click the Speech Recognition tab, then click the Speech Recognition Engine which you’d like to use in the Language box.
  • Click the profile that you’d like to use in the Recognition profile group. Please note that, Training is specific to an engine and profile
  • Click Train Profile. And then just follow the instructions in the Voice Training Wizard. Please note that, all engines does not support training and the option of Train profile should be considered unavailable if the engine does not work.

It is highly suggested that you spend at least ten or twenty minutes training the computer since the recognition accuracy goes up with more training.
