If you don’t wish to use automatic updating in
Windows XP, you can still install the specific updates for your computer from the Windows Update website.
Windows Update has a catalog of all the updates which are necessary such as latest drivers for your hardware, security patches and fixes, critical updates of windows, up-to-date help files, supplementary security software etc.
- Click Windows Update in Help and Support Center.
- On the Windows Update homepage, click Scan for updates.
- Click Yes when you are prompted to install any required software or device drivers.
- The latest updates will be installed automatically.
