| Need disk space? Tweak System Restore Microsoft Windows System Restore defaults to using 12% of disk space.
System Restore is nice -- but 12% is a lot of disk space!
To reduce the amount of disk spaced hogged by System Restore:
1. Click the <Start> button
2. Click the <My Computer> menu item
3. Click <View system information> from the left window pane
4. Click the <System Restore> tab
5. Move the slider as far to the left as you feel comfortable
6. Click the <OK> button
Of course, the less disk space you give System Restore, the few restore points it will be able to keep. |
