I like Symantec ok. Never tried the specific software though. Symantec just like anyone has its good and bad reps. Nortons has worked fine for me when used with Ad-aware SE. You can't blame a program for the misuse from the user most of the time.

There are many other competing products out there on the market besides PC Anywhere. I don't personally have a problem with PC Anywhere but I know there are some cheaper options out there with BETTER controllability.

For instance, I don't just want to access certain data on my drive remotely. IF that were the case, WINDOWS has features built into it for that.

There are software packages out there that actually allow you to remotely TAKE OVER the PC you are accessing... which means you are using hte Hoursepower and applications located on the remote PC rather than the PC you are using... THAT'S a nice feature. The users PC is just the monitor for what's going on remotely.

It's REALLY fun when someone is using a PC for a public presentation and you pop on, open the Internet Browser and pull up a PORN site. Hopefully he's using a prjector in his presentation. LOL!!!!

Anyway, cool stuff these days.

One other point, GoToMyPC is using up all my search bandwith... go ahead, gype in GOPC and see just how many gotomypc ads you get... Grrrr.....

Anyway, if you HAVE to use them, go ahead... but I'm on a personal boycot.

However, searching GOPC results in just about EVERY remote access software program and option on the net... so I'd give that a try.

Good Luck in your search.
