Remote Desktop Windows XP Download

I have a desktop computer and a notebook computer. I want to be able to use remote desktop to connect from my notebook to my desktop.

Both computers are running Windows XP with Service Pack 2.

Where can I download Remote Desktop for Windows XP?

You shouldn't need to download anything to get Remote Desktop Connection working between your two computers running Windows XP.

Configuring the Remote Desktop Server
  1. Click the <Start> button.
  2. Click the <Control Panel> menu item
  3. Click the <Performance and Maintenance> icon
  4. Click the <System> icon
  5. Click the <Remote> tab
  6. Click the checkbox next to "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer"
  7. Note the name of the computer which is printed underneath that item
  8. Click the <OK> button
Starting the Remote Desktop Client
  1. Click the <Start> button.
  2. Highlight the <All Programs> menu item
  3. Hghlight the <Accessories> menu item
  4. Highlight the <Communications> menu item
  5. Click the <Remote Desktop Connection> menu item
  6. Enter the name of your desktop computer
  7. Click the <Connect> button
If that gives you any problems, please let me know!
